I just finished reading this article on my Chromebook. I am a software developer who has gradually switched to a Chromebook as my principal workstation. Using the vastly superior technology of the Chrome browser, I am able to use the Chrome Remote Desktop and Secure Shell App to securely access and work on any of my computers — Macintosh, Linux, Android, or Windows. I have also replaced MS Office with Google GSuite — though I do have concerns about Google’s size and power.
Before Tim Cook, I was a Mac user, developer, and bigot. Sadly, Apple has long since stopped investing in computing technology and makes most of its money investing its already huge pile of money. The Macintosh and Safari have both suffered as a result.
