I met Adm. Hopper in 1982 at a conference at which she was speaking. She was the age I am now, 75. She was one of the smartest people I've ever met. I still have the short (distance light travels in 1 nanosecond) piece of wire she gave me and I'm still working as a software developer.

She was a very impressive human being and we all owe her our thanks.
