Fortunately, we have no difficulty getting interesting consulting gigs --- and delivering on them on time and on budget. It's funny how much more we know than most 20-30 something developers.
I'm a fan of Java and appreciative of Gosling's contribution. I've been using it since beta and slowly migrated from C. I really wish that Java could be taught by people who understand object-oriented programming. I know that the article, below. is being used to teach college level programming in Australia.
