Lauren, thought provoking and well-written. However, I cannot help thinking that it was the Left's disappointment over Bernie Sanders failure to win the Democratic nomination, and it's predisposition to accept the GOP's mostly specious anti-Clinton propaganda, that led to Donald Trump's minority election and to this very sad situation.

Choices have consequences and the lesser of two evils can sometimes be a good choice.
