Martha, you have a right to your opinion. I understand your motivation, but I fear the consequences of electing a president who neither understands nor values a representative government.

Especially with a Supreme Court that one party has packed with justices who would take representation back to the 18th century.

The wrong president would, if permitted to, make voting an anachronism.

Given the corrupting influence of big money in politics, the existing parties and the moneyed interests they are beholden to cannot be changed from the top.

It has to begin from the bottom up in local and state elections (the way the far right unfortunately took over the GOP) .

A president cannot be elected without the money and support of a national party. Our election finance laws (passed by incumbents) make that certain.

Pick an existing party and re-purpose it from the bottom up. The GOP was corrupted that very way. Maybe the Dems can be weaned of big money and bring democracy back.
