Scott, thanks for a fun story! It brought back some fond memories.
I started with a Honda 50 Super Cub in 1964. When I got back from Vietnam in 1969, I bought a CB450 for the road and a Bultaco 250 for motocross.
One of the dumbest things I ever did was to ride the CB450 from Lawton, Oklahoma to Greensboro, North Carolina, through the Blue Ridge Mountains to visit my mother for Christmas. The foolishness of youth.
Back in New England, through the 1970s I raced a Hodaka Combat Wombat 125, before switching to sports cars.
Good times!
