That tears it. I’ve debated ideas with you for days. You haven’t got a clue. Conspiracy theories are the last refuge of people who cannot understand why things aren’t the way they want them to be. The fact is that people have enough trouble managing small conspiracies. There haven’t been any large conspiracies in all of recorded history. You’re a better person, but apparently as fond of your conspiracy theories as the people who invaded the Capitol on January 6th are of theirs. If you understood Occam’s Razor, you’d figure out why it’s been so difficult to implement the liberal objectives we both seem to favor. It’s a combination of the enormous sums of money and willing market for scum like Limbaugh, Hannity, Dobbs, and Carlson. It’s disunity on the liberal side led by people who think like you and Lauren. It’s human fear and selfishness. It’s voter apathy, It’s the failure to look facts in the eye and to deal with them. It’s self righteousness and an unwillingness to listen to the opinions of people who don’t agree with you. It’s a thousand human foibles and failings. It’s not a vast organized conspiracy, it’s the predictable result of thousands of short-sighted decisions, laws, and regulations passed by both Democrats and Republicans, the decline of public education, and the general ignorance and apathy of American’s themselves.

Anyone who would blame our problems on a vast organized conspiracy will never address the real underlying causes and fix them. I’d start with 1) campaign finance, 2) public education, and 3) crony capitalism.

I’m done and will no longer participate in this discussion.

I’m a US Army veteran of the Vietnam War, have a wonderful wife and family, am a working software engineer, and a committed citizen.
