The cloud is the future of personal computing and Chrome OS is the operating system for accessing the cloud. The Chrome OS is not a toy.

I’m a professional software developer and a high-end Chromebook (often attached to a large monitor) is my primary workstation. Using the Chrome Remote Desktop, I can access and operate the networked Windows 10, macOS, and Linux computers I develop and test on. I use G Suite for all the things for which many people use Microsoft Office and I’ve had no problems exchanging documents with Office users.

All my persistent data and documents are on my Google Drive in the cloud and I can access them from any Chrome browser. I can log into any Chromebook and have instant access to my data and apps. I can wipe my Chromebook clean and have all my apps and data restored when I log back in. Try that, Windows users! Now days, I can also install Android and Linux applications.

I’m a US Army veteran of the Vietnam War, have a wonderful wife and family, am a working software engineer, and a committed citizen.
